Background
Eduardo has more than 30 years of experience as a corporate and tax lawyer.
He is currently a partner at act legal Spain, having previously been a partner at COLON DE CARVAJAL ABOGADOS (2000–2020), and RUIZ-AYÚCAR Y ASOCIADOS (1994–1999).
Throughout his career, he has advised a large number of public and private entities, acting in countless asset and corporate transactions. He therefore has extensive experience in the complex world of business law, corporate and equity reorganisations, M&A processes, and defence in tax inspection proceedings.
He is also the secretary of the boards of directors of various companies in different sectors (entertainment, defence, technology, financial, and real estate).
He is secretary of the Board of Trustees of Fundación Foro de Encuentro, Foro de Foros and organiser of the Intergenerational Farm Meeting, held on an annual basis.

Main areas of experience
In the field of commercial law, he is secretary of the boards of directors of several companies in diverse sectors and participates regularly in M&A operations in a variety of industries (commercial, energy, entertainment, publishing).
He recently advised a French company on the acquisition of a majority stake in a Spanish company in the aeronautics and defence sector. He also served as an adviser for an MBO in a company in the defence sector.
In the same area, he led the advisory team for the contracting of the new P-21 training aircraft by the Spanish Air Force.
In the field of tax law, he regularly participates in the evaluation of the fiscal costs of M&A operations and their optimisation.
In the tax procedural field, he petitioned the Supreme Court and obtained a declaration of nullity of Article 38 of the Inheritance and Gift Tax Regulation, and he has obtained the annulment of many tax assessments and penalties after challenging them in court.

- Bachelor of Laws from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1983–1988).
- Master of Taxation and Tax Advising from the Centro de Estudios Tributarios y Económicos (1989–1991).
Teaching experience
- Professor of the taxation module in the Master of Sports Management and Law programme at ISDE.
- Professor of the legal writing module in the Master of Access to the Legal Profession programme at the Universidad Europea de Madrid.
