Alfredo Solana López

Background

Alfredo is a lawyer and founding partner of act legal Spain.

He has practised law since 1983 and was a founding partner and director of the firm Colón de Carvajal Abogados (1985–2019). 

Recognised for his experience in civil and commercial law as well as litigation, he is an expert negotiator and stands out for his ability to design and implement effective legal strategies.  

He is the secretary of the boards of directors of several companies and business organisations in the energy, insurance, agrifood, distribution and logistics sectors as well as educational institutions. 

Alfredo also acts as a bankruptcy administrator and expert in corporate law, merger and acquisition processes, and corporate disputes.

Alfredo has more than 35 years of experience in the Courts and as a legal adviser in the fields of commercial, civil, and procedural law. 

  • Over the course of his extensive career, he has advised companies in almost all industrial and professional sectors, spanning all sizes: large, medium, and small companies as well as family businesses. 
  • He has acted in disputes between distribution and marketing companies, in agency and distribution contract terminations, in the automotive and energy sectors. 
  • He has advised several large companies on workers’ benefit plans for a number of years. 
  • He has acted in lawsuits arising from claims for product defects at both the consumer and the industry level, involving the assembly lines of large factories. 
  • He has acted successfully in large-scale lawsuits against city councils for recovery and compensation for the usurpation of lands. 
  • In the field of criminal law, he has advised legal persons regarding financial crimes, reaching important agreements on the company’s behalf. 
  • In the sphere of commercial law, he has acted in many corporate restructuring processes and family business disputes. 
  • He also advises entities in the education sector, acting in disputes between these institutions and students and/or parents.
